What are some benefits of joining the military?

I am thinking of joining military and I am wondering what are the benefits of joining? I know of some like education programs and medical and dental care. There are a few others, I know of like 30 days paid vacation, housing and food allowances, and special job training, but I would like to know if there are any other benefits involved. Please share any that you know of. Thank you!

3. The benefits that you mentioned sounded pretty good to me. Although, I do know of one more here in the State of Kansas. You pay no property taxes, and that would be AWESOME!

5. There are a lot of benefits. But the one thing I hope you understand is please, please, please, get an mos that pertains to the civilian world. I.E. x-ray tech, mechanic, or even an mp. I got out after 8 years and I'm struggling a little because I didn't heed this warning.
