benefits???

what makes someone eligible for.... 1) inacpacity benefits? 2)disability benefits? are you on any of these and what is your 'incapacity'/'disability'? PS i work and do not recieve benefits by the way. i mean incapacity

1. i dont know what the requirments are, u need to have a medical done by the council doctor or ur gp. i do know that if u have no legs ur not allowed on incapacity

3. i think disability is when you cant work due to ill health and incapacity is meybe due to the fact you look after someone else so cant work....meybe not 2 sure...... and im not on any of them.....thank god
4. Incapacity benefit is paid to people who are long term sick or have a minor disability that affects their ability to work. DLA comes in 2 components:- Care - for people who need to have someone around to care for them and meet their day to day needs Mobility - for people who need help getting around becuse they either cannot walk or can only walk for a short distance. Also DLA can be claimed for children who have a disability where as incapacity benefit cannot. An example is my father had a bad back caused by a trapped nerve in his spine following a car accident - after the accident he was in so much pain that he claimed DLA care because he could hardly move and needed constant help, and mobility because he could hardly stand up, after his back operation he was more mobile but still unable to work, his DLA stopped and he went on incapacity benefit until he retired. I claim DLA care for my son because he has aspergers syndrome and needs constant adult supervision (he is 10) Then again someone who is in a wheelchair may get DLA mobility but they are still able to work if they wish
